I consider myself a generalist with experience in many areas of
business and technology. I am currently on my own working as a
consultant helping clients to align technology, strategy, people and
projects.
I started my career as an engineer and quickly moved into leadership
and management roles when I realized I would never be the world’s best
electrical engineer. I’ve held many different positions, from
front-line technical roles (Consultant, Engineer, etc) to leadership
roles (Director of Technical Services for North & South America,
Director of Technology Management, etc) and have a broad base of
experience managing large multi-functional teams. I have experience in
the fields of project management, product management, business unit
leadership, team leadership, customer service, technical support,
training, training development, software and hardware implementation,
software development and management consulting.
After 12 years working for others, I decided to step out on my own
as a consultant and am currently engaged with a few clients in the
Dallas area. I’m slowly building my consulting practice one client at a
time and hope to be doing this for a long time to come. As mentioned
above, my services focus on helping clients align their technology,
business objectives, people and projects to create sustainable value
and competitive advantage.
I currently work as an
independent consultant helping clients align their technology with
their business objectives. I’d welcome any opportunities that you think
would be a good fit for my background. If you’d like a more in-depth
look at my background, feel free to review my resume.
In addition to my
consulting practice, I stay busy helping other people. I am the founder
of the Dallas / Fort Worth Entrepreneur Network, a networking group
focused on entrepreneurs and the Dallas Technology Network, a
networking group focused on technology executives in the Dallas / Fort
Worth area. I have been involved in CompTIA’s Workforce Advisory Board
and served on the Board of Directors for various volunteer and
charitable organizations.
In addition to my consulting work, I’m working on my Doctor of Science in Information Systems from Dakota State University
with an area of focus on knowledge management, technology strategy,
technology selection, organizational behavior and human capital
management in information systems.
If you know of anyone needing help in the areas of project
management, technology management, technology selection and
implementation or any other areas of information technology, I’d
welcome any consulting opportunities that you might know of. If you’d
like a more in-depth look at my background, feel free to review my resume and/or cover letter.
I currently live in a Dallas TX suburb with my wife Tracie and our 2 chinchillas.
