Hi there,

I've got a couple of blogs on a site running Community Server 2.1 that I would like to import into another site running CS2007. I see that Keyvan is converting his BlogML utility for CS2007 but is there any way to do that aside from using BlogML? I'm happy to do this directly in the database (I'm guessing the cs_Post* tables are the ones I need) but is there a simpler way?

 Thanks, Dan

I assume that these two blogs are on different servers... one idea would have been to update the existing 2.1 blog to a 2007 blog. Another idea is to use the cross-posting abilities of Community Server to have the posts from the 2.1 blog cross-posted to the 2007 blog. You can set this up then go through the posts that you want to have cross-posted and select the cross-post option on the Advanced Options area of the blog edit post then click to Publish the post. When you update the post it will then be sent to the 2007 blog. Optionally you could create a simple task to run through a blog and mark all posts as cross-posted then update them. Let me know if this helps,

Hi,

The CS 2.1 blog is on a site that I don't control, hence my question. I'm building my own cs3 site that I want to move my posts to.I'll try the cross post option you mention.
