From the Forum -> Manage ranks function of the control panel, when you create a rank you're given the option of uploading the icon for the rank.
There's a browse button to select the image but not an upload button and cliccking save results in the picture being set but not uploaded, thus shown as an error icon.

Rank icons should appear on forum posts.

I have set:

Forum Rating Type
Thread Rating Post Rating
User Posting Performance
Post Count User Rank
Display User Rank as a Picture
Yes No

And in Manage Ranks I have set some rank as:

Newbie 1 to 10

Normal 11 to 50

And uploaded some pictures that are correctly displayed in the manage rank summary.

Still I can't see the pictures on people and in all user's profile there's "Post Rank: 1".

Any idea of what is going wrong?

Also, why are rank's range overlappable? Can a user be of more than one rank?

Thank you.

Sorry, dumb posting.

User Posting Performance = User Rank
Display as picture = Yes

Hi epinci,

Does this mean that you got this issue resolved? Are you seeing the rank images now?

Actually I still have the issue.

I see the post counters increasing but if I got to the user profile it shows "post rank: 1" for all users regardles of my defined rankings.

Not a trace of my rank names nor icons.

Any idea of what might be going wrong?

Weirdest than ever!

I still don't get the icons but if I try to delete a post as moderator, then in the delete post form *and only in that form* I can see the ranking icon. Getting back to the forum does'nt show the icon.

Now I'm starting to get confused...

Support for user ranks has been restored in CS2007 (after beta-2).  The settings in the control panel are now honored by the default theme.
