Users cannot find how to post to their blog, because the "Control Panel" button is not showing up. How can I force this to show?
I have checked the SiteUrls.config, and the Control Panel button is referenced there.
<link name="controlpanel" resourceUrl="controlpanel" resourceName="controlpanel" roles="SystemAdministrator,BlogAdministrator,ForumsAdministrator,Moderator,GalleryAdministrator,FileAdministrator,ReaderAdministrator,MembershipAdministrator" />
Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt
Sorry, I keep answering my own questions today. I added "Registered Users" to the roles and it shows up now. I would think that would be an "out-of-the-box" feature if you were auto-creating blogs and galleries.

Yes, I would have though so too. Luckily it is easy enough to implement ourselves.
I guess the CS dev's reckon the "My Blog Dashboard" page on the users blog hompage is enough. I have aslo added "Registered Users" on xboxbloggers.net to do the same thing for logged on users.
Hi, I tried the siteURL change mentioned in the post. The control panel did not show up for me.
<link name="controlpanel" resourceUrl="controlpanel" resourceName="controlpanel" roles="SystemAdministrator,BlogAdministrator,ForumsAdministrator,Moderator,GalleryAdministrator,FileAdministrator,ReaderAdministrator,MembershipAdministrator,RegisteredUsers" />
Did I do it correctly?
I found it..."Registered Users" is the only one with a space...
Instead of opening up the Control Panel to all Registered Users, you may read CS2007: My Blogs.
