One of the things that drives me nuts about subscribing to the MainFeed.aspx of blogs.technet.com is the sheer number of non-English speaking posts. Some days I feel like I'm missing out on the good stuff because stuff I don't understand is clogging my feeds. Is there any way you guys could add language filtering to the CS2007 feeds? Maybe even just by adding a Language QueryString to the page?
Thanks!
This has been an optional feature of CS since 2.1.
Control Panel -> Administration -> Settings -> General Site Settings -> Enable Content Language Filters
When enabled,
Ben,
That's cool, but how does it work if you're using a web-based aggregator like Live.com? That's why I'd like to be able to have a query string or something I can add to the URL to manually engage the filter. Since you guys have filtering built in already, it should be pretty straightforward, right?
If you've subscribed to a secure RSS feed, your custom language filters would be applied.
However, if you're subscribed to a public RSS feed, you'd fall into the "Anonymous" category -- showing default and browser-identified languages only.
I've added this to our ideas list.
