Forum Tags by e-mail

We are currently evaluating (will be buying) CS 2.1 with the Mail Gateway add-on.  Tags are going to be an important part of our site and I'm wondering if there is any way to tag a forum post that is submitted via e-mail.

(update)  I know that we can go back to the message on our CS site and add tags.  I'm looking for the ability to submit tags in the e-mail. 

We have a CSModule that is currently used in the blogs which should be usable in the forums,

Basically users would write their posts and when finished would add something like this: [tags: T1, T2, T3] where T1, T2, T3 are the tag names. CS would strip these values out of the post and set them as the tags.

I was just searching for a solution to this problem.

I tried adding the following to the subject line and the end of the email and I did not have any success with the tagging:

 

[tags: Tag3, Tag4]

 

Can you give some more detail with how one should format the email for this to work?

Like Scott had said, we currently have a module to do this in the blogs and it could be adapted to work on the forums.  So at present, the forums do not support it, though the existing module could easily be changed and loaded in.

Sorry - I misunderstood the post.  Which module are you referring to?

I would be willing to modify it because when we introduced the post via email feature the users the one of the first things they asked about was tagging.

Is this something that is planned to be released with CS2007?  It sounds like a great feature that would not take much to implement.
