Blog Mirroring not working

I'm having a problem getting Blog Mirroring to work at all. I'm running CS on my local machine and cannot get blog mirroring to work. At first, I wanted to create a mirror to another local CS instance -- as a way to have a common blog across instances. But this didn't work. When that didn't work, I tried external feeds (MSDN Magazine and Community Server Forums) thinking that those will have to work. Nope.

 I have set the cacheFactor in the CommunityServer.config file = 0 so it shouldn't be the cache. What's also odd is that when I go into the Mirrors page, the times are not changing, but are staying the same as when the mirrors were set up.

Well, it turns out that eventually did show up . . . 2 1/2 hours later.

 Has anyone encountered this before?
