Good evening, Dan.

I installed this CS Module to my CS 2.1 website, and for the most part, it works properly.   There is one feature of v2.1 that presents a problem, however.

I'm aggregating some external feeds to a blog called "News_Feed", and I have enabled the "Syndicate External Links" option for that particular blog.  This has resulted in the links for those blog entries to have my domain pre-pended to the full URL of the actual link, and that's mucking up that portion of the sitemap.

Any thoughts on when this module might see the light of day for full v2.1 compatibility?

Yep...  I have had one for some time (running it on danbartels.com)....   It fixes some of the known issues...  (fixes Forum URLS is the biggest issue I can think of)...

I just need to package it up...  maybe this weekend...

For some reason the mapping from GoogleSiteMapIndex.aspx to GoogleSiteMapIndex.ashx does work. So I can just use the GoogleSiteMapIndex.ashx url to get google to index it, but the PingGoogle() method is hardcoded to use the GoogleSiteMapIndex.aspx page.

Any suggestions on fixing the mapping?

Are you planning on releasing the source to this?

Hi Dan,

Thanks for your time to put this out i have implemented it this morning.

I have a few errors on google from it they all look like this

View errors for: http://sportsbiker.net/photos/abluegeez/GoogleSiteMap.aspx

The error when you drill in is the unhelpful

Unsupported file format
Your Sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format. Please ensure it meets our Sitemap guidelines and resubmit

I have checked and all 35 errors I am getting are for photos/UserName folders that are not there?

There some user folders in my Photos folder but not all of the ones that have albums. Could this be something to do with me upgrading CS to 2.1? I'm thinking aloud here but in 2.1 does it create this folder now but didn't before 2.1?

Thanks in advance for any help with this

Regards

Joe

This looks like an issue with URL re-writing...  You need to have the google site map portion of the siteulrs near the top of the siteurls, I have mine located right under the <roots /> section...

I would suspect that the named posts url, is causing your site to look for a photo named "GoogleSiteMap" and not refering the browser to the GoogleSiteMap.ashx file at the root...
