I think CS will benefit from hot fixes before the official version 2.1 is released. Here is another bug that lets me execute JavaScript -

Hate to pester (oh, who am I kidding, I love to pester...), but any update as to when we might see the first alpha/beta release of 2.1?

Yes, it will be possible to upgrade from CS 2.0 to CS 2.1.

I am also anxious to get an alpha/beta of 2.1 to test on my site. If not a release, a simple list of files being changed would be helpful. I know it was mentioned earlier that one or both of these would be available before July.... It is now the 28th of June.... My institution is looking to roll out our 2.0 intranet by July and I would very much like to know if we should wait until after the upgrade to 2.1. Any information would be apprecitated.
Also, I am assuming that my license for 2.0 and the Windows Auth module will be transferrable to 2.1?
Thanks!
Still no news *sigh*.
Maybe just a hint or a "Not this month" sort of post? Most of us are ok with waiting but a monthy, one to two line, post of what is coming or not coming would really be nice. This may be an unrealistic request but never know until you try .

A lot of the Open Source out there have had the same issues. Many have gotten around this by having a "Developer lite" sort of status. They get access to nightly builds and a special forum section. They can't check in but then can post fixes and do some QA based on nightly builds. Generally speaking you treat them as unpaied interns.
If used correctly this is a great time saver and seeing that one of the developers applies the changes (does the check in) and does the basic testing there is better quality control.
It looks like a hint was dropped in the Community Server Monthly...
"Each of us here at Telligent is very excited about the upcoming release of Community Server 2.1, slated for release later this month."
