I have successfully used Scott's Camtasia add-on, but I'd like to take normal wmv files and view them in a blog.

I've tried info from Josh Shaffer's site, (placed it in via the html editor in CS2) but everytime I "post" CS changes the text and I'm not sure why. Do I need to change one of the config files?

Here's the code http://www.google.com/notebook/public/05372883120172088349/BDSnhIgoQudLv67Mh
I've also tried to putting the link in the attachments tab (it works to pull up the wmv via the link

Thanks to any and all that can help my simple brain lock-up.

ok - I figured it out. I guess either I'm dumb -couldn't find it in faq/docs - and no one wanted to help point me in the right direction or this is not desired by the cs population. If you want to see wmv's inline easily in your blogs do this -

1) on your post tab - type in your text if you want above your video then below that type (remove the **'s )[**video**] or how ever you want to "see it"
2) if you want the video downloadable too then put a link in your "Post Attachements" tab (you should also have a download link inside the media player applet in the blog, but I've found people like the normal link in the page)
3) on your video tab put the link to the wmv, link to image to display and duration of video if you want
viola!

There you go. Now I'm working on how to make the video interface (I think it is the default code in CS2.0) look a little more modern. It looks kinda "old school" to me and I want it to look more "snazzy" If someone knows how to make the interface look better I would sure appreciate the "heads-up". In looking at the rendered code I see the latest mplayer clsid number, but then again I may be missing something.

btw - I still think Scott's camtasia way is MUCHO better, but I needed a way for average people to create good looking stuff without my company spending big money for everyone to have camtasia. Now we can use Windows Movie Maker, Audacity and such to create online training vids for the populace. Plus until we have a media server I can put simple wmv's online for everyone. If someone knows how to integrate a windows media server to community server I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

p.s. here's how the video player looks

People can only edit video with admin privileges. If you want the be able to insert WMP, you need to enable that specific HTML in tiny_mce and web.config.
