I am planning several topic-specific communities published under different URL's. I want to have a topic-specific blog on each, all written by the same individual blogger. In addition, I want everything written by this individual to appear in a blog (or blogs) on their own personal website. The goal is to have only on-topic information published in each community, and to have an organized archive of everything the individual has written available in one place.
Since I am in the planning stage, I have some flexibility to change what I want. I am not so much looking for what is possible, or what could be done with some hacking, but for "best practices" and the available features that were designed into Community Server.
What is the best way to accomplish this? Is there a way to have one blog for everything, with different filtered (by subject) views at the different community sites? Or will I need a separate blog for each community, each cross-posted to one (or more) blog on the blogger's personal site?
Edit: In looking at the blogs here, it looks like the "Telligent Bloggers" may be done the way I envision. Are the entries there done at each individuals blog site and cross-posted here? Or entered here and cross-posted there? Or is something else happening?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
That does sound like exactly what I want. Maybe I'll do something temporary for the topical sites until the 2.1 beta is released.
Thanks for the heads up!
