  • Slow performance on godaddy.com

Hi, I'm evaluating ways of creating a community site that will hopefully become much larger in the future. I just got the smallest Windows hosting account on godaddy.com and installed CS Express. The server itself seems to work fine as far as delivering regular HTML content, but the performance running...

  • issue with the gallery's performance

Now,the gallery stores all the photos in the same directory which named "storage" ,but it will make list the photos slowly when a great deal of photo in the same directory. Why design the gallery not consider this problem? The photos storage can be sort by directory? My meaning is photos should...

  • CS2007 performance vs. CS 2.1

I have a site that runs on CS 2.1 on a shared host. I've been reasonably happy with the performance. I am thinking about upgrading to CS2007. I installed it on the same webserver and built a demo site. For some reason CS2007 runs much slower than CS 2.1. All pages take a long time to load. It is...

  • Re: CS 2007 Performance Issue

Well, I have the 3 job threads that come with CS 2007. Job Thread #1 runs each 15 mins, #2 runs each 5 mins and #3 runs each 15 mins. Thread #2 was initially 10 mins, but I had to change to 5 mins because otherwise the site would never be able to run this job, which is the one who send emails. The Start...

  • Critical performance issues

First off, I like Community Server. I was impressed with the ease of install, and I like what's included in the feature set. I'd really like to adopt it for my clients, and I always like to help show that asp.net can compete against all the php blogging engines out there. My big problem is that...

  • 64 bit installation of CS?

Now that 64b servers are getting more prevalent (e.g., Exchange 2007), I was wondering if there are any 'official plans' for getting CS on 64b machines. Are there any documentation (release notes, caveats, etc) for a 64 bit installation of CS? Thanks, SBC

  • Re: Slow Performance - Please Help

[quote user="jmbledsoe"] Here are a few questions that may help the diagnosis: Do you have the server in-house, or is it at a remote location? That is, how's the performance when you're browsing locally? Have you checked disk usage and fragmentation? Are you on a single drive or RAID...
