I've installed CS 2.1 on a server. I can see the home page, and click through the tabs for home / blogs / forums / photos / downloads / reader / roller. However if I click on the tab for 'Control Panel' I see the following errors. Any suggestions on what to do next? Thanks, Mamtha Server...

I've run into a server error when trying to execute the installer/default.aspx file as I am attempting to install CS in a shared hosting environment - specifically Intermedia.net. I get this message: Server Error in '/CS' Application. Runtime Error Description: An application error occurred on the server...

Yesterday, I upgraded to CS2.1. I tried it out once ahead of time on a local box and everything worked. When I tried again (using Dave Stokes' installation guide) on the live server, almost everything worked. All except search. His guide includes the bit about truncate cs_SearchBarrel, cs_SearchIgnoreWords...

I ran the update SQL script and copied the 2.1 web directory over the 2.0 directory but the initial page request generates the error below. Subsequent requests show a call stack ending with a url rewriter class throwing an exception. Recycing IIS or the app pool doesn't seem to help except to redisplay...

It never fails. Whenever I go to install software, it seems I *always* have problems. Maybe that is why I always put it off so long... Anyway, I downloaded [communityserver_2_1_aspnet20.msi] with a date/time stamp of [2006-08-12 10:15:00 AM]. I decided to install on a local test machine before I tried...

Hi All, I'm running CS 2.1 on ASPNET 2.0 on an ASPNIX shared host (highly recommended, having spent enough time on GoDaddy to throw in the towel finally). The current install is into a /cs subdirectory, which is preferred to reduce clutter in root as I have a lot of content to manage in root. However...

I'm clearly missing something, or CS 2.1 has a flaw in it's ability to run under Sql Authentication. My environment is IIS 6 (.NET 2.0) and SQL2000 with Mixed Mode Authentication (SQL & Windows). I created a DB (we'll call it "MyCSDB" ), and ran the cs_2.1_CreateFullDatabase...
