  • Creating a help page - best way to do this?

Hello all, I'd like to change the link next to the search box of my CS2007 installation. I'm sure I can simply create an article and type in some text, but what do you think is the best way to write a help page. Basically, I'd like to have some tips for people who are new to my community...

  • Re: Where can I find documentation?

I agree with you. I really enjoy CS2007 but hunting down documenataion sucks! The greatest thing to do besides adding more features to this product is to provide its customers with documentation via PDF or Word docs. If I wanted to "hunt & peck" I would be a chicken!

  • Re: creating FAQ for a site

A weblog is a good way to create a site FAQ in my opinion. There's a couple different routes you could go there, depending on how you want the FAQ to look and work. I think the cleanest way would be to create a new blog dedicated to the FAQ. All posts in it would be FAQ questions. Then you could...

  • The poor quality user features of CS

This app is poorly engineered from a customer viewpoint. Why? Let's list the limitations: 1. Simple customer request: Adding a page to the main menu! Adding a page requires edits to no less than 4 files, coding obscure variables, debugging calls to the editor, and resetting database connections to...

Hello All: As I have been playing with the Community Server product I have found one configuration that I can not figure out how to change. In the User Data area in the header there is a Help link, in CS2007 this defaults to the following: http://communityserver.org/r.ashx?K however I would like to change...

  • Re: About the new licensing guide for CS 2007

Scott Watermasysk: walshy: Quick question. The new licensing guide talks about limiting CS to 1 domain. Does this mean 1 installation/website/community, or literally 1 domain? At the moment I have one site mirrored on numerous domains. Would this still be allowed under the new licensing scheme? It means...

  • Solution: Email alerts not working. "SendQueuedEmails Failed To:"

We just installed Community Server and the email alert notification is not working. I get an error stating the string (someuser@somesite .com ) is an invalid value but in the job report the ASPMail ran successfully. This is the actual error message we are receiving.
