I see in a Blog home page there is a Syndication box where you can turn on ("Go") email subscription to that blog.  But after turning it on, I don't see anywhere to turn it off, or a place to see what blogs you have subscriptions to (like the Forum Subscriptions page).  How do you turn off or manage blog email subscriptions?

Blog subscriptions are decoupled from the user, so they don't behave like the forum subscriptions do.  There is no "Blog Subscriptions" page currently, and there is also no mechanism to default new users to being subscribed to the blog.  That would need to be something you'd need to create on your own with something like a CSModule.

Maybe I should elaborate.

We are considering turning Blog subscriptions for our members on by default.  But obviously we need to be able to tell people how to turn them off.  I haven't found any way to do so, but I'm sure I must be missing something obvious.

Right, I understand we'd have to implement defaults through a CSModule.  But how does a user turn it off if they want to?

After two weeks I guess this deserves a bump.  How do you turn off Blog email subscriptions once you have turned them on?

Woops.. clicked suggest instead of reply.

Anyways, at the bottom of every blog email that is sent out is a link to unsubscribe from that particular blog.

Just came across this in the 2008.5 SP1 Release Notes:

- No longer a blank textbox for subscribing. Now subscribe via email and unsubscribe with the new WeblogSubscribeUnsubscribe control.

So maybe there is another option now?
