I'm trying to research a problem we are having with community server 2007, I've found a thread of a user that had the exact same problem as I am by using the search function in the forums here, but when I click on the search result to go to the thread....I get an Access Denied error.
Does anyone have any input to help me out with that? Why would I not be able to go to a thread that I can find in the search?

That post was made to the private Customer Questions forum, for those who've purchased Sotware Assurances.
There was a bug in the Search Barrel at some point, that caused Search Barrel to not store the permissions required to view a post. That has since been corrected, but any post made indexed during that time is still affected as the data was not inserted into the database correctly.
As you cannot access that post, can you say what is your problem and we'll try to help you out.

We have a licensed commercial copy of Community Server 2007, is that enough to be able to get into these forums? If so, what do I need to do to get my account authorized?
You need to have paid for, and maintained, Software Assurance (may have been Gold Support).
What is your problem - the post in question did have a response, but no response from the original poster so no guarantees if it was the solution.
