I successfully installed the SP Integration, but when I try to go to any of the pages in the Community Server Gallery, i get the error:

An error occurred during the processing of . Could not load type 'CommunityServer.Wss.Local.WebPages.CSForumPage'.

I created a new webpart page and added the community server webparts one by one.

CommunityServer Activity Messages displays fine.

Community Server Searchbox and Search Results both display & work.  If I send an empty query through though, it seems to do a wildcard search and return ALL results.

CommunityServer Blog Comment form: Errors when I try to add it: An unexpected error has occurred.  No data in the event log or SP logs.

CommunityServer Blog Post Viewer: Errors when I try to add it: An unexpected error has occurred.  No data in the event log or SP logs.

CommunityServer Blogs: Errors when I try to add it: An unexpected error has occurred.  No data in the event log or SP logs.

CommunityServer forums: Cannot import this webpart.

Community Server Forums group Viewer: Displays and works.

Community Server Forum Posts: A webpart of control on this page cannot be displayed or imported.  The type could not be found or is not registered as safe.

the rest of the webparts also error in various ways - could not be imported, or unexpected errors, etc.  Ive checked my bin folders and the gac, Safe Controls, and everything seems to be fine.

any ideas?

the first error usually is a sign the that assemblies did not deploy correctly. ensure that the 3 dlls are correctly deployed in your farm which may solve many of the other issues you're experiencing.

there should be CommunityServer.Wss.Local in the bin of the web application that you deployed to.

CommunityServer.Wss.Global and CommunityServer.WebServices should be in the GAC.

Please confirm those and report back. Remember you can deploy these manually by pulling them form the .wsp file directly. (change file extension from wsp to cab and extract with win-explorer.) Thanks,

Leon

I double checked, and the Global and Webservices assemblies are indeed in the GAC, and the Local is in the bin folder for the site.  Just to be sure though, i extracted them from the wsp and redeployed them, with no success.

I uninstalled the feature and reinstalled it, then rechecked the gac and the bin and the safecontrols in the web.config. Still no love. There was one error that came up during installation:

Feature 'CSGlobalExtensionStapler' (ID: 31e82773-2938-4141-9c3a-813900f3fd33) is
 already activated at scope 'Farm'.

I remember seeing this error during the first installation too, but I didn't think anything of it.

So, the assemblies seem to be deployed just fine, any other ideas?  :)

Yeah, that's the ActivationDependency at work. That's not an error just a warning that the request to activate was redundant.

now to the other points... :)

I'll look into this.

nebulae:
CommunityServer Blog Comment form: Errors when I try to add it: An unexpected error has occurred.  No data in the event log or SP logs

CommunityServer Blog Post Viewer: Errors when I try to add it: An unexpected error has occurred.  No data in the event log or SP logs.

CommunityServer Blogs: Errors when I try to add it: An unexpected error has occurred.  No data in the event log or SP logs.

CommunityServer forums: Cannot import this webpart.

.

these are bugs (duh, right?) are fixed for the next drop.

Community Server Forums group Viewer: Displays and works.

nebulae:
Community Server Forum Posts: A webpart of control on this page cannot be displayed or imported.  The type could not be found or is not registered as safe.
this is actually mis-named. Its the form for replying to forum threads. It's fixed for the drop as well.

The Drop was making many assumptions of environment. A lot of work has gone into targetting a wider installation base. More information as soon as I have it. thanks ~Leon

Any hint on when the next drop is?  I'm getting these same errors and I'd love to have the integration working.

Thanks!

I've been playing a bit with the existing release, and it looks like some of the issues that I'm running into are related to the version differences between the client side web service wrappers.  The version of the REST wrapper that works in my environment is 4.0.30610.12572, but the version that's deployed in the CTP is 4.0.0.

Hi Matt,

We're actually only a few days from Launch!

We decided to bypass the public beta and focus on a few launch partners.

If you want to email me at cvanderbeck@telligent.com i'll add you to the announcement email list for more information.

You can call me at 214.420.1376 if you'd like to talk about it further.

Thanks!

Christian
