Are all forums gone (even from the front UI)?  If so, you may have selected the wrong site to update within your database (if there was more than one).  I'd suggest restoring your backup from before the upgrad was run and reviewing the site selection drop-down when presented with it.

If forums are only gone in the control panel, do you have "content language filters" (Control Panel -> System Administration -> Site Administration -> Site Configuration -> Setup -> General Site Settings) enabled?  Do the forums appear when you disable "content language filters"?

 Hello Ben Tiedt,

thanks a lot for your reply.

First, I only have one site (which was automatically selected during the update).

Second, yes, the forums are only gone in the control panel and show up without any problem on the fron UI.

Thirs, I do use "content language filters", but disabling this doesn't make the forums to appear in the Control Panel.

Thanks a lot for any further advice !

Regards,
Fabianus
