I've installed cs2008. And can access the admin GUI and, it seems, everything else from http://localhost:8008/

But how do I setup cs2008 so I can access it from my domain (www.domain.com)?

I've tried "Default Site Url" under "General Site Settings" and also setting up the IIS.

Surely there must be a setup/config manual!

You need to set up IIS correctly.  CS can only kick in once IIS has directed the request to CS.  Make sure that when you set your site up in IIS you change the port of the new site from 8080 to 80.

 Hello Mulmad,

Can you be more specific?

Is your site hosted internally (behind your firewall) or externally (in a data center, for instance)?

What happens when you type 'www.domain.com' into your browser?

What about from the browser where IIS is located?

What happens if you type http://www.domain.com:8008/ from your browser?

What about from the broswer where IIS is located?

I assume since you are wanting www.domain.com to resolve to your installation of CS, that it is port 80 traffic incoming?

Within IIS, have you stopped the Default web site?

Within IIS, have you set your CS folder properties to port 80?

Do you have something else competing for that port number?

Are there firewall issues?

Is the service started?

And the list can go on and on....
