This is most likely occuring when getting or saving the writable profile object -- and is most likely related to your other issue: http://dev.communityserver.com/forums/t/499077.aspx

I am getting the same issue when updating the avatar, but I am not experiencing the QUOTED_IDENTIFIER problem referred to in the other post. Any other suggestions?

I have the exact same error message as the one posted in the first post, site was an upgrade from 2007 and connection strings weren't touched so don't think it's anything to do with the other post mentioned.

My issue was also resolved when I changed directory permissions.
