In CS 2007 I could use the AdPlacement attribute on some of the CS Controls, and then use the AdTemplate element to specify an AdControl with its ContentName set to a site article name. I have tried using this construct in CS 2008, however it doesn't appear to be working so I'm either A) Doing something wrong or B) this has changed in CS 2008. My goal is to mimic CS 2007's AdPlacement="PreSecondAndLast" behavior in some of the list controls as well as be able to use site article content to display ads. Any pointers?

Nothing related to this behavior has changed in CS2008.
My only suggestion would be to ensure that ads are enabled for your user's role.
