I'm doing an upgrade install from CS 2007 and have a couple of questions:
Other than this, the upgrade has been a pleasure...almost all of the customizations I've made are duplicatable via the new features in CS 2008, like the widget controls. Well done Telligent!
Snag yourself a CS Tidbit!
X.Static:Are media files that are moved out of the database to the file system during the upgrade then deleted from the database?
Yes, once all files have been successfully migrated our of the database, the Content column is removed from the post attachments table.
X.Static: Site files from CS 2007 aren't showing up in the CS 2008 Control Panel. They are of course still stored in the same location as before, so perhaps I'm missing something obvious?

Site files are *not* stored in the same location -- new site files will be stored in the /filestorage/CommunityServer.Components.SiteFiles/ folder (which is created on first use). The existing files will remain in their old folder (/sitefiles/) and will be accessible -- however, because we could not implement redirects for these files, they are not migrated automatically.
X.Static:Is there no way to edit the sidebar widgets for the media application, similar to how you can do so for blogs? What about homepage widgets as well?
Yes, the final release included support for widgets in the media gallery themes. The navigation sidebar will always be displayed, but the widgets below the navigation sidebar can be modified within the theme configuration page.
X.Static:I don't see a place to add Raw Header Information for apps other than Blogs.
Control Panel -> System Administration -> Site Administration -> Site Configuration -> Setup -> General Site Settigns -> Raw Header
X.Static:None of the 'charts' are showing up, such as "Views of all blogs (past 30 days)"...all I see is a message saying "Unable to display the chart.
Ensure that you have the latest version of Flash installed.
