My shared business host has offered to move my CS 2007 site to a new server in order to resolve the application pool problem described here: http://dev.communityserver.com/forums/t/498419.aspx

However they claim that they often experience problems when moving sites from one server to another. (not CS-related)
Therefore I would like to know if there are any commen problems or best practices when moving a CS site to another server.

My Configuration:

  • CS 2007 Pro edition (3.0.20611.960)
  • Windows 2003, IIS 6.0 - Shared business hosting
  • SQL Server 2005 (On separate server, which will remain the same)
  • Separate application pool with 256 MB RAM + 512 MB virtual memory. (Currently causing problems on existing server)

Thanks
