Hi,

When our users visit the "Blog" home page they see a mixed list of blog entries from our bloggers and to the left of these is a generic "Blog" logo/thumbnail.

Is there any way we can make this specific to each blogger so posts can be more easily distinguishable (maybe the photo from their profile).

Thanks.

James.

That was implemented in CS2008 - see http://dev.communityserver.com/blogs/.

In order to display the user avatar, you'll need to place a <CSControl:UserAvatar runat="server"/> in the item template of the WeblogPostList.  If you want to see a code example of how to do this, the themeing engine as far as blogs go has changed very little between CS2007 and CS2008, so if you download the 2008 express edition, and the code in the /Themes/A THEME/Blogs/postlist.aspx should give you an example of what you can do (if you're using the default theme in CS2007, look inside the calypso theme folder, if you're using leanandgreen, look in the leanandgreen theme folder.

Hi,

Thanks of the tips, that's pretty cool.

The ony downside is that the avatar appear above each blog except and doesnt replace the little "Blog" image on the left of the excerpt.  I dont see where to place it to completely replace the standard 2007.1 blog image with the avatar.

Is this possible?

Thanks.

James.
