We've recently found a flaw with the auto create blog/gallery functionality. When blogs and galleries are created on user registration they use the username as the appKey replacing certain characters with spaces or blanks. A problem arises for instance when a user registers with the username David R which would then create a blog/gallery with the appKey David_R (space is replace by underscore), if a user then registered with the username David_R then a blog and gallery would not be created as the appKey already exists.

To work around this we have changed our username regular expression to ^[a-zA-Z0-9_-]+$

it won't have been changed, it's up to you what the username format is, you can set it in yoursite/controlpanel/membership/AccountSettings.aspx > Username Regular Expression Pattern
