First contact with CS and stuck at the installation

Two things - firstly you've posted to the CS 2.1 group.  You may be better off installing CS 2007 (or waiting for CS08 which will be coming out in a few weeks time) as CS2.1 is no longer supported.

If you wish to continue with CS2.1 (or have CS07 and have just posted to the wrong forum), can you either do exaclty as the error says and change the mode attribute of the customErrors section in web.config to Off.  If that doesn't work, then you may have set your website to use ASP.Net 1.1 instead of ASP.Net 2.0.  If you're not sure how to change this, then you'll have to ask your host to do that for you.  If you still get the error, then you'll have to ask your host to access the page for you from the server and they should be told the real error that's going which should help to diagnose the problem.
