Hi,
I've followed the Knowledge Base Server installation instructions to the point where I have an 'Addon Installer' section in the Control Panel. However when I click 'Install Packages' within that section, I receive an error: "Oops something went wrong!". I've tried viewing the Exceptions report in the Control Panel but even when I tick the 'Include Unhandled Exceptions' box it is still showing no errors.
Thanks.
Further to my last post, I discovered that exception logging is disabled by default in CS2007. I've enabled it and here's the error I'm getting:
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.9) Geck Path: /portal/ControlPanel/addons/InstallerPage.aspx as HTTP GET Referrer: /portal/controlpanel/Setup.aspx Message: Unknown server tag 'CS:mpcontainer'. Hi Jamie,
The current version of Knowledge Base Server is written for CS2.1, and it looks like you're trying to install it to CS2007.
Thanks for the reply. I wasn't aware KBS was written for an older version of Community Server, I don't think it's stated on your website or in any of the other documentation I've received.
Are there plans to release a CS2007-compatible version? And is there a timescale available for this as the project I'm working on has an impending deadline?
The next version we're working on will be a CS2008 version.
So the 2007 version is being skipped over to catch up with the current development cycle of CommunityServer.
