I am trying to do a bulk import of about 600 messages from a mailing list.  The way I am doing this is by forwarding the emails to a forum's email address.  Only some of the emails are posted to the forum successfully.  I am gettting an excessive amount of log messages like:

Message failed to be successfully processed  Mail Gateway 11/13/2007 9:46:04 AM ************* 777 0 1000

The Mail Gateway Error log:

 The Mail Gateway Log:

2007-11-13 09:48:03,690 [2276] WARN  [ - Fail # Exception: System.Exception: CommunityServer.Components.CSException : Error in the application.

Also, some of the emails have an empty body when posted to the forums.

Any ideas?  Am I just overloading the system? Is there a way to find out which messages are causing a failure and, more importantly, why?

Are you using the passive mode functionality by chance?

Nope.  If I forward manually, some of the messages that did not get processed previously will now get processed.  I also noticed a few threads had a large number of duplicate posts, which is odd.

There are also a few threads where there is only the thread starting post.  It looks that if a RE: message is processed before the thread starter message is processed, then the RE: message may be dropped.  I assume that this is expected behavior.

Done.  I could not find a logfile for the CS web application though.
