I've run into a server error when trying to execute the installer/default.aspx file as I am attempting to install CS in a shared hosting environment - specifically Intermedia.net.  I get this message:

Server Error in '/CS' Application.

Runtime Error

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="Off"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

Has anyone seen this before.  Could you please tell me what I've done wrong/the solution.

 Any help will be greatly appreciated!

As suggested in the error message, did you set <customErrors mode="Off" /> in Web.config so you can see what the exception is?

I seem to have gotten past the error message but something is still wrong - perhaps an IIS issue.  Now I am able to run installer but it churns and churns for 20+ minutes now with no results?  I corrected the Server Error problem by giving execution priviledges to the CS directory.

 Any thoughts on the installer stall.  It doesn't appear to crash or lock up - it just keeps churning.

I'm running into the same problem, however even if I change the customErrors to Off, it still is the same problem. Anyone have any idea on a possible next step?
