Hi guys,

(reposted from addons forum)

I am configuring my CS2.1 site for Windows Live Writer (uploading images is the goal) and have some problems.

  1. I've installed FTP Server 2.1 RTM or FTP Server build 60809. When I connect locally and try to "put" a file I get this (the last portion, internal ip is my internal ip):

2006-08-17 10:06:49,828 [2804] DEBUG [] - aread.1.: .PORT [internal ip],7,130.
2006-08-17 10:06:49,828 [4084] DEBUG [] - write.1.: .200 Port command okay [internal ip]:1922.
2006-08-17 10:06:49,828 [2804] DEBUG [] - aread.1.: .STOR org.png.
2006-08-17 10:06:49,948 [4084] DEBUG [] - write.1.: .150 Opening data connection.
2006-08-17 10:06:49,948 [4084] DEBUG [] - write.1.: .421 Transaction failed.

The error log is empty.

2. I modified <Gallery> node:

<AttachmentSettings
              enableFileSystemStorage="true" fileSystemStorageLocation="E:\Inet\CS\Web\photos\storage"

Is this correct?

3. What should I write in Live Writter FTP upload settings? Is this correct?

Publish images into this folder: /photos/[Name of Photo gallery]/ (/photos/righthand_blogs_pictures/)

URL of images published: http://[cs url]/photos/[Name of Photo Gallery]/ (http://cs.rthand.com/photos/righthand_blogs_pictures/)

 Thanks,

Miha Markic [MVP C#] http://cs.rthand.com/blogs/blog_with_righthand/

Hi Miha,

I experienced similar error. It occured because the Database log was full. The error was "The transaction log for database 'CommunityServer' is full".

To make sure you have the same error you have to check the FTP Server addon logs. By default they are located in: C:\Program Files\Telligent\Community Server FTP Server

The log file you need to look in is called: cs_ftp_errors.log. Verify that you get the same error as above. If you don't, post the error here and someone will help you out, if it the same error, see instructions below on how to fix it.

If you are using SQL 2005, log in to SQL Server Management Studio and browse to your database usually named 'CommunityServer', then right click on it and select Properties. Select Files tab and find Autogrowth column. Click on the three dots "..." to bring up the properties and increase the Maximum file size or make it Unrestricted.

Let me know if you need any clarifications.

Alex.
