Embedding the Forums within another website

Hi Folks;

the challenge - Embed a specific Forum from an existing CS website within another website that is driven by another third party CMS

Technical Parameters

• Separate database servers
• Separate Web Servers
  
• CMS is customisable and extensible and written in .NET C# (Yay!)
• Website must be FAST!

• Write a Web Service - or possible a .NET Remoting Service for the Forums section of CommunityServer
• Build a user control to embed on a page within the third party CMS which will consume the above mentioned service
  
• Cross my fingers

So, I've got a bunch of ideas about how I think I can do this, but given that two heads are better than one, and that there are definitely a few good heads around here, I thought I'd throw the challenge out to the masses and see what we could come up with.
