Thats great that you would take the time to do that.  It definately needs to be documented for the rest of us "newbie non CS programmers" out there!  Can't waite to see it!

I second the motion, and thank you in advance for your efforts too, Dave!

I've already uploaded the files to my new host, copied my database to the new host and run the script, and now I have no idea what to do next!  [*-)]

I was using CS2.0 on ASP.NET 2.0 at CrystalTech, and it's somewhat customized (www.bonsaibruce.com). I have decided to move this site over to ASPnix. I'm using Visual Studio 2005 Professional and SQL Server Management Studio.

Do I just drag the content portion of my old site over to the new site and see what happens, or will I screw stuff up by overwriting (new) files that are necessary?

I'd appreciate ANY heads up on this!

Thanks!

I would concentrate on getting the site running first correctly on ASPNIX without adding the complexity of adding the upgrade to CS 2.1 to the equation.

Essentially you need a copy of your current site db + everything that was on the file system.  Copy that to the ASPNIX site and restore the database to the ASPNIX database.

A better place to ask your question may well be on the ASPNIX forums, you may well find that someone has already done a move from Crystal Tech to ASPNIX who will be better placed to help you.
