I have following issues with forums. I have searched all over the CS site for the answers, but I cannot find them

I am running CS2.0 on a windows 2003 server. GoDaddy is the hosting service

1. No functionality available to send confirmation email to newly registered users

I don't see "Email" option  in account activation settings. All I see is "Automatic" and "Admin approved"

2. Cannot make a post sticky after creating it.

It seems that once a thread is posted, it is impossible to  make it a sticky. This is a very important functionality for us because often new users will post something without realizing that they want to make the post sticky.

3. The Last Post Bug

It seems that the last post link is not updated correctly. Even after posting a new thread and a new post on that new thread, the last post link usually takes a lot of time before it updates (upwards of 2 hours)

I am absolutely new to ASP and dotNet. I have been a Java guy all my life. But I really like the CS interface and the functionality that works. If only I can get these 3 things to work, this will be my dream platform. Can someone please help me with resolving these?

Thanks a lot

#1 - This is on by default. The only thing you need to do is turn on email as a whole for the site. (CP >> Admin >> Settings >> Email Settings)

#2 - Admins can change the post stickiness. Are you seeing something different?

#3 - I have not seen this. There is caching involved for performance, so there will be a delay, but it should be < 15 minutes.

you can solve number three by setting

disableIndexing=true

in your communityserver.config

I am not sure if this is the right thread for my question.

Bad Request (Invalid Hostname) error on CS2.1 ASP.Net2.0

I am not sure what exactly I did but I was testing posting new threads in Forums and changing forum groups etc.

any thoughts?

Here is what my host (godaddy) says..

"It has been brought to our attention that your website mysite.com was causing 100% spike in CPU due to .NET 2.0 Error Reporting (dw20.exe) in our Shared Hosting environment. We will not be able to reinstate the website until the .NET 2.0 code has been repaired. Thank you for your understanding in this matter."
