I have just installed CS 2.0, and am evaluating it for purchase.
  1. Created admin account using my work e-mail address.
  2. Created personal account also using my work e-mail address; I need to create several accounts to evaluate the code, and did not anticpate any problems due to multiple users having the same e-mail account.
  3. Created several forum groups via controlpanel/forums/ForumGroups.aspx page.
  4. Clicked on "Change to Tree View" button.
  5. Received error below.
  6. Left that page, went to other tasks, still could not switch to tree-view.
  7. Changed the e-mail address of the non-admin user to dmk@example.com .
  8. Was able to change to tree-view and back again without limitation.
  9. Changed the e-mail address of the non-admin user back to my work address (same as the admin user).
  10. Was not able to reproduce the error after that.

Is this registered as a bug? It seems to still be there in CS 2.1 Beta 1. I get a similar error trying to go to Tree View although no users have the same e-mail adress.

This is acutally a bug still as I am getting it in the RTM 2.1 software that I installed. I have a different user that uses the same e-mail address as my admin user and it errors out when I try to view forum info in tree view via the control panel.

Might I add that this is STILL a bug in CS2007.

I have a brand new, freshly installed copy of CS2007 - and this bug just presented itself. Luckily the search works well enough that I found the solution quickly. Smile
