Hi,

I have an existing site and I am using cs 2.0 . I am using cookie authentication to get my existing users automatically signed in. I have bought the cookie authentication addon and installed the liecense using control panel and I have changed the settings in communityserver.config and web.config. The cookie exist with the right keys but still the users are not getting registered when I redirect them from my site to blog site. Could anyone help?

thanks

Have you tried using the included same authentication page for Cookies Authentication?

You mention you "Redirect".

IE and FF will only share the cookie if they are on the same Domain.  They can be on sub domains, but you will need to ensure you set the Relm of your domain to *.mydomain.com to tell IE and FF to allow sub domains to share the cookie.

If they are Virtual directories, then ignore what I said above as directories do not matter.

Eric,

I came upon this posting and I am using the CS 2007 with the service pack and am having this same problem. The cookieauthtest.aspx file sends me to the forum and the cookie shows up there but I am not getting added as a user. Does anyone have any ideas? I am running CS as a subdoman (http://www.mysite.org/community)
