Private Groups not visible in Group Category?

Why not, I don't want a the content visible, but it would be appropriate for members to be aware that they exist by the category designation?

In 2008.5 we added an option for Private (Listed) and Private (Unlisted).  This allows for a group to be private and visible on the group category page.  There is also now an option for a user to request membership to this group from the group category page.
