Open ../web/themes/yourtheme/user/createuser.aspx , at the end of the file comment out from <CSControl:OpenIdCreateUserSubForm runat="server" ID="OpenIdSubForm" up to </CSControl:OpenIdCreateUserSubForm>

DO NOT do what andrevs says!

To remove open id, remove any .dll from the bin folder with OpenId in the name.

I'm curious why commenting out/removing the OpenID section of the login page isn't the way to go as that's what I did for a theme I'm working on.

Because it still leaves the open id stuff in CS, which if it's not being used its better to remove it and free up some memory
