I allready looked for an answer in the formums but did not find one. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to activate a sitemap in CS 2008 for Google?

Sitemaps are always activated for CS sites, however you may need to submit the sitemap to the search engines.

One way of doing this is to use each search engine's webmaster tools to submit your sitemap, the other is to add the folowing to your robots.txt file

[code]Sitemap: http://yourdomain.com/googlesitemapindex.ashx[/code]

You have to submit GoogleSiteMapIndex.ashx to Google.

After I uploaded the sitemap Google says it has an error in it (date). Do you know how and where I can change the date?

There was a bug in the original release of CS2008 which meant that the last modified date for blogs was displayed incorrectly.

Please upgrade your website to CS2008 SP1, which you can get from http://get.communityserver.com/Download/cs2008sp1/.
