I'm using

CSControl

 

:SiteStatisticsData

to get the total number of threads and posts, but when i create a new thread or post, the numbers don't seem to update?

These statistics won't update immediately.  They'll only be updated when the Update Statistics job is run, which typically happens every 15 minutes.
