So I have set up the join feature to add users to various roles based on their choice using a radio button list. These roles are used to filter content on my site. The changes I have made work fine and the users are added to their various roles upon signup. All of the role filters on the site work fine member lists etc. All but the users profile. I have it set to display different content for different roles. To get the profile to display properly I have to go to the control panel, find the user, open up add/remove roles, and close it. I do not have to make any changes or save just have to open and close add/remove roles. I can’t figure what would cause this, I don’t think its catching as I have waited it out and done hard resets of web.config. Does anyone have a hypothesis?
