Moving post in a new thread

There are two posts that are off-topic in one of my threads so I decided to make a new thread for that. I made a new post for this new thread which made the date newer than the recent two posts. However, I want my new post to be the first post in that thread. The problem is when I transferred the two previous posts in this new thread, the third post has become the newest post in the new thread which shouldn't be because the new post is an intro to the thread. Is there a workaround for this?
