Community Server MVP Program?

Is this program still active? I ask because the last announcement of new MVPs I found when I searched is from 2006 and we have people like afscrome who is on these forums nearly every day answering more of our questions than the entire CS staff combined. It would seem like a good way to recognize him and any others like him for being the reason some of us stick with CS or even make the decision to buy it in the first place.
