We have account activation set to 'Email' so the user is sent a password when they register. I have set the password reg ex in the admin to ^[a-zA-Z0-9]*$ so only letters and numbers are valid, this does not work, I have tried setting the passwordStrengthRegularExpression in the MembershipProvider in web.config, this also does not work.
