Hi,
I have downloaded and installed the add-on to allow Windows Authentication. The module works but it is creating users as sys. admins even when I've set the adminWindowsGroupIsSystemAdministrator="false". I've tried changing the adminWindowsGroup="Administrators" to "XYZ" (a bogus group) and semi-works. When the user first accesses the page, they get the following error message:
Either the site is offline or an unhandled error occurred. We apologize and have logged the error. Please try your request again or if you know who your site administrator is let them know too.
But, the account is created and it is not a sys. admin account. When the user refreshes the page, they are logged in properly.
Has anyone else encountered this?
This is for version 2007 and the add-on module was found in securitymodules_4_0_30423.zip.
Thanks,
Winston
Can you follow the instructions at http://docs.communityserver.com/errors-and-fixes/finding-underlying-error-when-receiving-the-friendly-error-message/ to retrieve the real error that's going on when you see the "Oops" page. That will either give you enough information to sort the problem out yourself, or post the error here so we can get the error fixed.

Changing the adminWindowsGroup to a bogus one was more of a workaround that I was trying. My more pertinent question is why does setting the adminWindowsGroupIsSystemAdministrator="false" still place the user in the System Admin. group? Thanks.
