"Enable Collapsing Panels" is an option in the user's profile page, but it doesn't seem to mean anything. Can someone please elaborate this feature? Using Hawaii.

This setting is used to show/hide sections in groups. It's only used in Calypso and Lean and Green in the forums. The Hawaii theme does not use this setting.

One is glad to be of service...

I've noticed this too.  if the feature isn't available in the Hawaii theme, then is there any point keeping that option on the Profile page as it only serves to confuse users.

We need it, so we'll keep the option there and look for the API points in our Hawaii-based base theme.
