Hi

We have a number of CS07 sites up and running which are all using centralized membership, and are in the process of testing and upgrading to CS08.

The issue we have is that we do not want to upgrade all sites to CS08 at ones, but upgrade one at a time, if possible. So my question is, can we use CS07 membership database for CS08 or do we have to upgrade all CS sites to 2008 to use the same membership database?

Thanks

Hi HighTowr,

You shouldn't have an issue with keeping your membership database on CS 2007 while you upgrade individual sites to CS 2008. Other than a change to better support case-sensitive databases, the centralized membership feature hasn't seen any database related changes for almost a complete year.

Hope that helps...

There is one thing that I just remembered in reading another thread...

Assuming that your roles are centralized, we did add a couple new roles for media gallery and groups that you should add to your centralized database. If your roles are local, then there's nothing to do.
