Hi,

Recently I have been trying to integrate AJAX with Community Server 2007.1 under framework 3.5. I made the apropriate changes to the web.config file and it all seemed to work localy. However when I installed .NET 3.5 and the AJAX toolkit on to the main site and uploaded the new web.config file people were un-able to login. The AJAX worked though. After going over the web.config I have found that the problem may be that it is missing the line <trust level="Full" /> under the System.Web node. I would like to confirm if this is the problem before trying again though. Can anyone confirm if framework 3.5 is compatible with CS2007.1? If not then is it a better idea to use the AJAX extensions for 2.0?

Thanks

As CS was built upon .Net 2.0, you may find that you're best off to stick with .Net2.0 for your modifications - Dave Burke had done a series of posts about intergrating the AJAX extentions and Cs together on his blog - http://dbvt.com/csbits/archive/2007/05/29/Community-Server-Ajax-Control-Toolkit-integration-series.aspx - which may be of use.

I used 3.5 with 2007, and am doing now with 2008. I simply made the changes to the web.config and everything just worked flawlessly .Net 3.5 is  extra bits on top of 2.0, the changes are not drastic like the change from 1.1-2.0 so I don’t think there should be any problems using 3.5 with CS?
