I'm trying to download the hotfix for CS 2007.1 that is supposed to fix when new lines are stripped from text email messages. Unfortunately, all of the links surrounding this hotfix appear to be broken. Some example:
I would really like to download this hotfix, so if you could supply an updated link, that would be greatly appreciated.
There does seem to be a larger issue here related to the migration of CS.org to 2008. Anecdotally, I've noticed that many of Google's links to CS.org content are broken, and many other links within the forums (and site in general) don't work. Are 2007.1 URL's not compatible with CS 2008? This seems like a really significant issue, and I'd appreciate any insight about what's going on and what, if anything, Telligent is doing to resolve it.
Thanks,

When CS2008 was released, Telligent moved the main community server webstie from .org to .com, and the community to dev.communityserver.com, and it is that which is causing the URL problems.
As for the hotfix, that should be included in CS2007.1 SP1 which you can download from http://get.communityserver.com/Download/moredownloads.aspx.
CS Documentation - now available in downloadable PDF form
My CS Site
The broken links are nothing to do with CS 2007.1 or CS 2008. The docs site was running some completely separate software and with the move from using cs.org to cs.com, the conversion for that site was not ready in time. The marketing department has taken over management of that, are well aware of it, and working on fixing it as soon as they can.
As for resolving the new lines issue in CS 2007.1, you should upgrade to CS 2007.1 SP1, which was release right after the CS 2008 release. It includes the fix for that issue. You can find it here:

It's really a shame that all this information that used to be easily accessable is now broken links that have to be "worked around". Come on guys, can't someone plan out a simple name change and add the proper redirection for us poor pleebs?
Also, Ken, how do I get the links to the complete (full) downloads for 2007.1 sp1 for the msi, the web installer, and the full SDK. I am finally gettng to the point where I can use my 2007 license and it seems to me to make no sense starting from 2007 sp 1, which I did download last year and then patch it up to 2007.1 sp 1. Too many chances for errors. I know your main selling push is 2008 but geez, until recently you guys used to keep at least all the last verson downloads around as well.
Sorry, don't mean to seem crabby but I've been fighting this new site (OK, new site organization...) everytime I tried to get some information or downloads. The majority of the 2007/2.1 "community" was lost in this transition! (OK, I know nothing was lost but it's the "you can't get there from here" syndrome.) Where are all the community written modules and skins and stuff as well? I can't find those yet either.
Thanks in advance,
John
Marketing??? You don't put marketing in charge of dev stuff!!! That's like having the wolf guard the sheep. No respectable developer trusts marketing or sales. I can just see their thinking now ("if we move all the information on 2007 and earlier, everyone will be forced to upgrade to 2008...") lol

Thanks for the link to the patch/upgrade from 2007.1 to 2007.1 sp 1. I'm looking for something a bit different. I am currently running 2.1 and now am finally able to go to 2007 and use the license I have. It seems I should upgrade directly to a full 2007.1 sp1 instead of piecing patches together hoping I don't make a mistake. Here's specifically what I am looking for. The full and complete 2007.1 sp1 SDK (most importantly), and the MSI, and web installer. I'd rather not go through all the hoops and not end up with the right files. Am I correct in assuming these exist somewhere?
Thanks in advance for the help.
