Should group members be able to post the the group blog?  They can post to the gallery and forum.  Can we at least get a setting to allow them to post the the blog?

If I could add to that something related, could we get a breakdown of what Owner/Manager/Member are allowed to do in the various apps of a group? I had not found anything definitive explaining who could do what, other than assuming an Owner has FULL rights in the group.

Thanks!

Jason

Managers and Owners can post to the blog, but not members.  To allow a member to post to the blog, you could change their membership type to "Manager".

Hi Ben,

It your posts give a lot of insight into community server development. Thanks for that. I need to know how to assign an owner to a group ? I (System administrator) have created a group (Group1) and now want to assign an regular CS user (User1) as an owner to Group1. I cant add User1 to GroupAdministrators since, User1 would have admin access to all other groups (Group2, 3 and so on). I couldnt find this in control panel, where i can do this? Can you help me out ?

Thanks in advance,

Vinod.
