Search within documents

I spent sime time yesterday trying to fiture out how to implement search on community server, and i can't seem to find an answer to one question. Will community server search inside documents? From some tests i did, it's unable to search within the document. We are also considering the google search appliance, but how well does that play with community server?

Enterprise Search does an excellent job searching within documents.  You could also add Index Filters for PDFs and other non-standard types.  Enterprise Search is included in the Professional Version.

I've been researching 'search within documents, in the downloads store'. It seems that CS should search in documents. But I can't get it to do that. (unsing an enterprise demo licence). Am I missing something? The folder is ticked for indexing etc,
